Our Service

Our primary service ‘request a tee time’, is an automated process enabling golfers to request tee times from any one of the Teebookers listed clubs, and for those clubs to ‘accept’, ‘amend’ or ‘reject’ those requests, subject to availability.

If made available, the tee time may be purchased in advance online, so the golfer just needs to turn up and play.

Target markets

Non-members: people who are not currently members of a golf club. For example, young city professionals.

Members: current golf club members who want to play a variety of courses. This includes visiting tourists who want to play golf while in the UK.

How does it work (for the golf club)

On registration you will be sent a unique username and password which gives you access to your own secure admin area. Here you are able to action tee time requests made by registered golfers.

The request a tee time system involves the following 4 easy steps:

1. The golfer makes a single request online which automatically generates an email to the golf club - two email addresses are available per club for your convenience.

2. This email directs you - via a hyperlink - to your dedicated admin area where you are able to ‘accept’, ‘amend’ (i.e. offer an alternative time), or ‘reject’ the request. If accepted or amended, the tee time is automatically uploaded into the database (for sale).

3. An email is then automatically sent back to the golfer with a link to the Teebookers website, informing them that the tee time is available for sale. The golfer then has the option to purchase the tee time, and if bought, receives booking confirmation via email which is presented to the golf club on arrival.

4. The golf club will then be paid the outstanding amount in arrears, at the beginning of the following month.

NOTE: We only ask for a small, mutually agreeable discount/ commission for each tee time sold.

FAQ

Q. Does Teebookers buy the tee time in advance?

A. No, when a request is accepted the golf club offer the tee time for sale online. If sold, the golf club is immediately notified of the sale via email and paid (by cheque) in arrears, during the first week of the following month.

Q. What happens if a tee time is not sold?

A. If a requested tee time has not been bought 48 hours prior to tee off, the Teebookers system will automatically send an email to the golf club notifying them of its status. The tee time can be deactivated at any time by logging into the club’s dedicated admin area or requesting deactivation via email.

Q. How can Teebookers prevent the ‘undesirable’ golfer booking a tee time?

A. As part of the booking process the golfer must accept terms and conditions, both Teebookers and the golf club’s. In addition, players must present a handicap certificate where requested by the golf club on the booking.

Q. What hardware/software is required to use the Teebookers service, e.g. in order to upload tee times?

A. No new hardware, software, or software licences are required to use the service. All you need is access to the internet!
